Scholarships are critical to allow students in financial need and academically outstanding students to begin their college careers or enhance skills for tomorrow's jobs. Without aid, many students would be unable to afford to pursue their education. With requests for aid increasing along with enrollment, the need for increased giving is crucial.

The HCCEF is committed to raising funds for the scholarships, endowments and programs that will assist HCC students in the pursuit of their educational goals.

• Contributions to the HCC Educational Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization as defined by the Internal Revenue Service, provide valuable support for scholarships and programs at HCC. Contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by law.
• 100% of gifts go to support the scholarship, endowment or program of the donor's choice. All administrative costs are covered by the college to ensure that all of the money raised goes directly to scholarships or to advance and support the programs and facilities of Howard Community College.

At HCC more than 12,000 students pursue a variety of studies leading to transfer to four-year colleges or immediate employment upon graduation. An additional 17,000 students take continuing education courses for professional or personal development.
